Founded in 1876, Bristol is one of the 24 members of the research-intensive Russell Group. It is one of the original ‘red brick’ universities, which were founded in the major industrial cities of England. The University is in the UK top ten and 51st in the world (QS World University Rankings 2025). For graduate employability, it ranks joint seventh in the UK (QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022).
