UG- Completed high school diploma + SAT/ACT/AP (min 2, max 4 courses). Score required will depend on program.
PG- Completed Bachelor degree (sometimes in a related subject area) + some additional requirements by program

UG: Provincial diploma (GPA average from Grade 12). Number of courses required and GPA dependent on program

Applications, dates and deadlines
Griffith has 3 intakes per year, but generally the Trimester 1 (February/March start) is the best for North American students. Most programs run on a rolling admissions process so students can apply anytime throughout the year. Deadlines for programs with quotas such as Dentistry and Medicine vary slightly year by year. How to apply
Students can apply directly or via an official education agent. In addition to the application form, students need to submit transcripts and a scan of their passport photo page. Griffith does not consider reference letters, essays or extracurriculars.
Standardized testing
SAT/ACT/AP are required for U.S. students not taking the IB Diploma. Canadian students can apply with transcripts only.

Student Life and Support
Student life and location
Griffith hosts students from over 130 different countries. The campus culture is very open and accepting. There is zero tolerance for any kind of harassment. We celebrate all major cultural holidays, including Pride month. There are over 120 clubs & societies for students to join and lots of opportunities to join other students for excursions and travel. The proximity of both the Gold Coast and Brisbane to beaches, rivers, and other types of nature, in addition to the amazing weather, mean that students can be active outside all year round.
Housing and support
There are options to live both on and off campus at Griffith. Both Brisbane and the Gold Coast have excellent public transport (and rides are 50c each!) so there is no need to live on campus. Students also have the opportunity to live with an Australian family via the Australian Homestay Network.
Student well-being is a real focus at Griffith. Students have access to support at the university level, including medical care, chaplaincy, and counselling. International students can also access the International Student Advisory. Griffith also has an award-winning peer support network called the Griffith Mates. This group is a mixture of Australian and international students who are available all year round to support students with advice, activities, and friendship. They also organise the international student buddy program for more one-on-one support.
Careers and Outcomes
Griffith has a Career Services team dedicated to assisting students prepare for employment after graduation and with finding part-time work while studying. Work-integrated learning is built into all Griffith programs.
Information for Counselors
As admission only requires academic information, counsellors do not need to provide references or other information for a student's application. Students can complete most, if not all of the online application themselves, with support from Justine Somogyi or a Griffith official education agent. Counsellors can direct any questions to Justine.
